The Algerian Prime Minister, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb, concluded his official visit to Niamey, Niger, on Wednesday. During his stay, he inaugurated the Algerian-Nigerien Solidarity Power Plant, a 40-megawatt facility gifted by Algeria to support Niger’s energy infrastructure.
This project underscores the deep-rooted ties of fraternity, cooperation, and solidarity between Algeria and Niger, as well as Algeria’s commitment to bolstering Niger’s development efforts. The power plant was jointly inaugurated by Mr. Sifi Ghrieb, representing Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and Nigerien Prime Minister Ali Lamine Zeine Mahaman.
Following the inauguration, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb met with Niger’s Head of State, General Abdourahamane Tiani. During the meeting, he conveyed President Tebboune’s warm greetings and reaffirmed Algeria’s dedication to strengthening bilateral relations, solidarity, and cooperation between the two brotherly nations.
The visit concluded with Mr. Sifi Ghrieb’s departure from Niamey International Airport, where he was seen off by Niger’s Prime Minister and Algeria’s Ambassador to Niger, Mr. Ahmed Saadi.
