In a solemn ceremony held at the Palais de la République (La Marina) in Cotonou, the incoming leader assumed office as outgoing president Patrice Talon accompanied him to his vehicle. The two leaders first held a private meeting before the public ceremony.
Wadagni took the constitutional oath before the Constitutional Court, witnessed by prominent figures from Benin’s political sphere and representatives from over a dozen foreign delegations. The ceremony underscored the nation’s commitment to democratic transitions.
