The University of Lomé (UL) continues to expand its international footprint. On Friday, 5 June 2026, the institution signed a framework cooperation agreement with Creighton University, a Jesuit university located in Omaha, Nebraska, United States.
The agreement was signed by Professor Kossivi Hounaké, President of the University of Lomé, and Reverend Father Daniel Hendrickson, President of Creighton University. Through this partnership, both universities aim to strengthen collaboration in training, research, and knowledge sharing.
The accord provides for joint training and research programmes, as well as promoting the mobility of students, faculty, and researchers. It also opens the door to organising conferences, seminars, and other scientific activities of mutual interest.
Both institutions also commit to sharing academic resources and developing collaborative projects. Special attention is given to protecting intellectual property and ensuring the confidentiality of information exchanged in the context of research work.
Five-year agreement
Initially concluded for a renewable five-year period, this agreement offers new prospects for scientific and academic cooperation benefiting the university community.
With this new partnership, the University of Lomé continues its policy of international outreach and confirms its ambition to strengthen its presence within global university networks.
