Mali has unveiled a significant financial incentive, ranging from 500 million to 2 billion West African CFA francs, for credible information leading to the capture or elimination of seven individuals suspected of terrorism-related activities.
The announcement was made public through an official statement signed by Mali’s Minister of Security and Civil Protection, General Daoud Aly Mohammedine. The initiative aims to bolster the nation’s counter-terrorism efforts and safeguard national security.
The individuals targeted by this reward are believed to have played roles in planning, organizing, or executing attacks that have endangered both civilian lives and property across Malian territory.
The list includes:
- Iyad Ag Ghali, also known as Abou Al-Fadel;
- Hamadoun Hassan Sangaré, or Amadou Kouffa and Môbbô;
- Abdoulaye Mamadou Bakaye Diallo, alias Jouleybib de Nampala or Sidi;
- Alghabass Ag Intalla;
- Sedan Ag Hita, with aliases Outhman Al Ansari, Abdel Hakim Al Kidali, and Al Qayrawani;
- Bilal Ag Acherif;
- Abderrahmane Al-Batna Al-Jazairi.
The government emphasized that these suspects are the subject of active manhunts by security forces due to their alleged involvement in coordinated terror operations within Mali.
In addition to the financial reward, authorities are urging citizens to remain vigilant and collaborate closely with defense and security personnel. They are encouraging anyone with information that could aid in locating or apprehending these individuals to come forward and share details with the relevant authorities.
This initiative follows ongoing military operations targeting armed terrorist groups across multiple regions of the country.
