The president of Senegal has carried out a fresh round of dismissals, targeting top officials who previously aligned with Ousmane Sonko’s agenda. These changes mark another phase in the reshaping of key institutions under the current administration.
The most prominent removal involves Waly Diouf Bodiang, who served as the director general of the Autonomous Port of Dakar. A prominent figure within Pastef, he has been succeeded by Doune Pathé Mbengue, a former activist from the Apr party.
The national coordinator of Pastef cadres and director general of the Vocational Training and Technical Education Financing Fund (3FPT), Babo Amadou Ba, has also been relieved of his duties. Soulèye Kane has taken over his position.
In Touba, Lamine Barra Lô, another Pastef-affiliated leader and director general of the National Office for Vocational Training (ONFP), has been replaced by Mame Awa Ndoye.
Meanwhile, Karamba Diallo has been appointed as the new director general of SEN-Pharmacie, the national supply pharmacy. He replaces Seydou Diallo, a Sonko supporter and Pastef member based in Keur Massar.
