The newly appointed Governor for District 403-A2 of Lions Club International, Mr. Jean Pierre HILLAH, commenced his official tour of the four nations within his district, starting with Côte d’Ivoire. He was formally received on Monday, August 31, 2026, by Dr. Souleymane DIARRASSOUBA, the Minister of Plan and Development, at his ministerial office.
District 403-A2 spans Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, Liberia, and Sierra Leone, encompassing five distinct regions across Ivorian territory. Lions Club International prioritizes its interventions on two key areas: enhancing youth capabilities and championing environmental protection.
The esteemed organization firmly reaffirmed its dedication to supporting the implementation of Côte d’Ivoire’s ambitious National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030.
The Minister of Plan and Development highlighted the opportune timing of this visit, noting that Côte d’Ivoire had recently embarked on a fresh cycle of its National Development Plan, crucial for the nation’s progress and the African economy today.
The PND 2026-2030 articulates the clear vision of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Alassane Ouattara, to guide Côte d’Ivoire towards achieving upper-middle-income country status by the year 2030.
Furthermore, the Minister underscored the significant mobilization of various partners around the PND 2026-2030, reiterating that governmental initiatives are meticulously aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (ODD) and the African Union’s comprehensive Agenda 2063.
These productive discussions are poised to foster robust cooperation, particularly focusing on youth empowerment, health advancements, educational reforms, and robust environmental stewardship.
