Following a barren season, Real Madrid is determined to bolster its squad this summer to prevent a repeat of the disappointment. Multiple names have surfaced in connection with the Spanish giants, including Michael Olise. However, Bayern Munich has just delivered a decisive response that dashes Madrid’s hopes.
The Real Madrid hierarchy is still reeling from last season’s trophyless campaign and is eager to avoid a similar outcome. Manager José Mourinho’s side has been linked with several high-profile transfers, with France international winger Michael Olise—currently shining at the 2026 World Cup—among the targets. The Bayern Munich hierarchy, however, has responded firmly to inquiries from the Merengue regarding a potential deal.
Bayern Munich rules out Olise exit despite Madrid interest
Herbert Hainer, Chairman of Bayern Munich, made it crystal clear: “As I’ve stated before, if Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has an offer in mind, he can save himself the trouble. We have no intention of selling Michael Olise. Our club enjoys an excellent relationship with Real Madrid, which is why they reached out. They confirmed there have been no discussions whatsoever with Olise and emphasized their desire to avoid constant speculation in the media. Olise is a Bayern player under a long-term contract, and we are not a selling club.”
Another transfer deadlock for Real Madrid
With Michael Olise off the table, Real Madrid now faces a familiar challenge. After being rebuffed over Julián Álvarez, the La Liga giants have hit another roadblock in their transfer plans. Whether they will persist with their pursuit of the 24-year-old winger or pivot to alternative targets remains to be seen.
