From July 6 to 10, 2026, a delegation of officials from Benin’s Autonomous National Electoral Commission (CENA) will participate in a specialized training program in New Delhi, India. The initiative, organized by the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) framework, focuses on the practical applications of artificial intelligence in electoral management.
This intensive session brings together election administrators from multiple countries to explore how AI can enhance transparency, efficiency, and security in voting systems. Participants will delve into key areas such as AI-driven electoral administration, digital governance, ethical considerations, human rights protection, cybersecurity risks, and the legal frameworks governing these emerging technologies.
The curriculum blends theoretical insights with hands-on learning, featuring expert-led lectures, real-world case studies, interactive workshops, and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing. Demonstrations of AI tools and platforms will allow participants to assess their potential impact on electoral integrity and operational workflows.
