Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire — Corlay Côte d’Ivoire, the company formerly known as Texaco, has kicked off a year-long celebration of its 60th anniversary with a high-profile event at its Vridi headquarters in Abidjan. The ceremony, held on May 6, 2026, marked the beginning of a milestone year focused on heritage, innovation, and sustainable growth.

The milestone was celebrated in the presence of key partners, employees, and institutional stakeholders. During the event, Alassane Ouattara, Managing Director of Corlay Côte d’Ivoire, reflected on the company’s journey over the past six decades. He emphasized the company’s commitment to modernization and its strategic vision for the future, encapsulated in the 2026–2030 roadmap. The plan prioritizes enhanced governance, workforce development, digital transformation, and sustainable value creation as core pillars of the company’s evolution.

« Six decades of operation reflect a history built on trust, resilience, and unwavering commitment to our customers, partners, and team members », Ouattara stated. « Our ambition is to continue this legacy with responsibility and determination, shaping the future of Corlay in Côte d’Ivoire and beyond. » He also revealed that a series of engagements—including promotional campaigns, community outreach, and social initiatives—will unfold throughout the year to deepen the company’s connection with its stakeholders.

With over 60 service stations across Côte d’Ivoire, a lubricant production capacity of 16,000 tons annually, and a strong regional presence, the company is poised for continued leadership in West Africa’s energy sector.

The anniversary celebrations aim to spotlight Corlay’s growth trajectory while charting a course for future expansion. The company is doubling down on its leadership in maritime refueling, high-value lubricants, and innovative energy solutions—key areas where demand is surging across West Africa. As energy challenges take center stage in the region, Corlay is positioning itself as a reliable partner in driving sustainable and inclusive development.
