Opposition in the DRC Seeks to Stop Tshisekedi’s Third Term
Leaders of the opposition in the Democratic Republic of Congo have called for President Félix Tshisekedi’s resignation and a mass protest on July 22nd, amid concerns over proposed constitutional changes that could allow him to serve a third term.
The C64 opposition group held a press conference in Kinshasa, stating that they would not back down and urging the population to organize a massive mobilization to demand Tshisekedi’s departure.
