In a recent press briefing held Friday at Cité Damas, the Parti des 7 Merveilles du Peuple Gabonais (7MP) and the Mouvement Oligui Nguema 100% (MON 100%) unveiled the comprehensive findings of their nationwide tour. This extensive outreach initiative traversed all nine Gabonese provinces from June 4 to June 25, 2026. Leaders from both organizations utilized the conference to highlight key insights gleaned from their mission and to outline their strategic direction moving forward within the dynamic landscape of Gabonese politics.
The delegation, spearheaded by Joël Ngoueneni Ndzengouma, who serves as both founding president of 7MP and president of MON 100%, actively engaged with local populations, party members, and regional officials. Their primary aim was to gather citizen concerns and conduct a thorough assessment of the nation’s socio-political climate following the 2025 presidential election.
Ndzengouma further emphasized that this extensive tour also played a crucial role in bolstering the internal structures of both movements. He stated, « Since June 4, 2026, 7MP and MON 100% have consolidated their efforts, building upon the momentum initiated on February 8, 2025. » This consolidation is vital for effective African politics.
Throughout their visits to various regions, discussions centered on a spectrum of issues voiced by residents. These critical concerns included youth employment opportunities, reliable access to potable water, the condition of national roadways, healthcare provisions, educational access, and the rising cost of living. Ndzengouma affirmed, « We connected with our fellow citizens to listen attentively and to gauge the realities on the ground. »

Furthermore, leaders from both movements confirmed the successful reorganization of their provincial coordination bodies, the updating of member databases, and the successful recruitment of new affiliates. The movement’s president elaborated, « This mission enabled us to identify emerging local leaders, solidify MON 100%’s presence across all nine provinces, and secure 1,000 new membership applications, demonstrating a growing engagement in Gabonese politics. »
The press conference drew a significant gathering of political figures, including Angélique Ngoma, Secretary General of the Gabonese Democratic Party (PDG), and Gervais Oniane, President of the Union for the Republic (UPR).
Taking the floor, Oniane urged all political parties to prioritize dialogue and constructive engagement. He asserted, « It is imperative for political parties to collaborate in a spirit of unity and shared responsibility to support the profound transformations currently underway across the nation. » This call for unity is a recurring theme in African politics today.
Concluding the assembly, the leadership of 7MP and MON 100% put forward a proposal for establishing a consultative platform. This proposed body would bring together all political parties committed to supporting the initiatives of the President of the Republic, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema. Such a framework, they believe, would significantly enhance coordination and cohesion among the various political formations in Gabon.
