Khady Diène Gaye has launched a fierce rebuttal against Abdourahmane Diouf’s assertions regarding Ousmane Sonko’s alleged stance on a potential debt restructuring. The former cabinet colleague of the minister described herself as stunned upon hearing that the current National Assembly President had supposedly endorsed such a measure.

In a scathing public response, the Pastef spokesperson dismissed Diouf’s statements as outright fabrications. Her opening salvo left no room for ambiguity: “Everywhere Dramane fails! Now comes a barrage of ludicrous falsehoods!” She went on to reveal her utter disbelief upon discovering the minister’s attempt to pin an agreement on debt restructuring directly on Sonko.

Khady Diène Gaye didn’t confine her critique to the factual inaccuracies. She also targeted Abdourahmane Diouf’s personal and professional trajectory, claiming he had consistently fallen short in every endeavor before returning to Senegal. She went as far as to suggest his failed attempt to qualify for the bar examination around 2007–2008, reinforcing the intensity of her attack.

The former minister further accused Diouf of pursuing politics for personal gain rather than the public interest. In her view, the minister had prioritized self-interest over service. Concluding her tirade, she urged activists to remain steadfast in their commitment to Pastef’s political vision, calling on all patriots to stay focused on building a sovereign, prosperous, and equitable Senegal.
