The departmental secretariat of the Rally of Houphouëtists for Democracy and Peace (RHDP) in Mankono, encompassing both the commune and sub-prefecture, recently convened its significant political relaunch. Held on July 17 and 18, 2026, the event focused on a comprehensive review of the 2025 elections, dedicated training sessions for party members, and a concerted effort to reinvigorate grassroots structures.
Cissé Namory, the RHDP departmental secretary, whose political mandate extends across the Mankono commune and sub-prefecture, emphatically reiterated the commitment of activists within the Béré region to fortify the presidential party’s standing.
He expressed profound satisfaction regarding the RHDP’s triumph in the most recent legislative elections within his political department, where Deputy Salimata Fofana épouse Méité secured a decisive victory. However, Mr. Namory also voiced regret over instances of indiscipline observed among certain party members, suggesting that such behaviors had, at times, received tacit support from some party executives.
“We bear a responsibility for sincerity towards our militants to safeguard the cohesion and effectiveness of our political endeavors,” he asserted, urging for enhanced discipline and unity within the RHDP ranks.
This political re-entry was structured around two pivotal moments. The inaugural day featured a reflective seminar under the theme: “Drawing lessons from the last ballot and charting the course for the new militant cycle.”
During this crucial occasion, Pr Soro David, the national deputy secretary in charge of political structures for the RHDP, delivered an insightful conference. His presentation, titled “The contribution of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 to the development of the Béré region,” captivated attendees.
The esteemed speaker meticulously outlined the achievements realized in Béré thanks to the PND 2021-2025, before detailing the promising prospects offered by the new PND 2026-2030. “The Béré region has greatly benefited from the PND 2021-2025 and stands to gain even more with the PND 2026-2030,” he affirmed, highlighting numerous planned projects spanning the education, health, and infrastructure sectors.
Professor Soro also commended the unwavering dedication of the region’s executives and citizens who stand alongside President Alassane Ouattara. He emphasized that their active involvement serves as a vital catalyst for Béré’s development and significantly bolsters governmental action across this important part of Côte d’Ivoire.
