Abdoul Ahad Ndiaye, the Minister of Land Transport and Aeronautics, has fired back at Ousmane Sonko’s visit to Touba, labeling his claims that stolen funds were injected into the city as an ‘unacceptable’ show of disrespect.

Ndiaye, who was speaking on TFM Radio, argued that such statements constitute a ‘deep misunderstanding’ of Touba and its people. He emphasized that it is essential to recognize Touba’s cultural heritage and spirit, rather than attempting to assimilate its population into those of ‘receiving’ funds.

‘It’s a grave error in appreciation,’ Ndiaye stated, highlighting the absence of local authorities during Sonko’s visit as evidence of their disapproval. He also expressed his support for President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, whom he described as an ‘integrated man’ deeply attached to his nation and committed to serving it.

Additionally, Ndiayé praised the engagement of the SeneGalese people in putting aside political differences and coming together to focus on the country’s development and improving living conditions for its citizens. He reaffirmed his trust in President Diomaye Faye, describing him as ‘an honest man’ deeply devoted to serving his nation.
