On 24 June 2026, the Cameroon Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Crafts (Ccima) brought together private sector representatives to draft proposals ahead of the 2027 finance law preparation.
This consultation aimed to collect, analyze and harmonize the concerns of economic operators ahead of planned exchanges with the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI). Central to the talks were improving the national tax system, boosting business competitiveness, and enhancing the attractiveness of the business climate. Around twenty proposals were formulated at the end of the session.
The initiative is part of efforts to strengthen public-private dialogue and promote a tax system more tailored to the realities of Cameroon’s economy.
