Dakar, July 15, 2026 — A sweeping shift in leadership has reshaped top-tier public enterprises in Senegal. A presidential decree, issued on the same date, appointed former civil administrator Doune Pathé Mbengue as the new Director-General of the Port Autonome de Dakar (PAD), Senegal’s flagship maritime hub. He takes over from Waly Diouf Bodiang, inspector of customs, whose tenure has concluded after years of dedicated service.
