The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, kicked off in Abidjan on July 9, 2026, under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé. The event took place at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, drawing over 700 investors from partner nations eager to explore opportunities in Côte d’Ivoire.

The Prime Minister highlighted the significance of the gathering, framing it as a pivotal moment to mobilize private investments essential for achieving ambitious development goals. Addressing a room filled with business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives, he emphasized the importance of collaboration in shaping a shared vision for economic progress.

« Your presence here today reflects the trust you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth trajectory, » he remarked. « You are key partners in transforming our economy into a more competitive and job-creating powerhouse. Realizing this vision depends on your willingness to invest and innovate. »

The government has made the private sector a cornerstone of its economic transformation strategy, reassuring investors of the country’s resilience amid global uncertainties. Côte d’Ivoire has maintained an average growth rate of 6.5% in recent years, solidifying its position as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies.

The Prime Minister underscored the vast opportunities available to investors, outlining how the day’s activities would focus on accelerating investments in priority sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030. Key areas include industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition, infrastructure development in transport, digital technology, and logistics, as well as investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services to foster a more productive and inclusive economy.

He also noted that the first day of the Consultative Group, which targeted institutional partners and showcased Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire itself.

In a show of solidarity, leaders from the private sector echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism.
