The President of Côte d’Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara, expressed his satisfaction today following the unprecedented financial mobilisation achieved for the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030. This milestone reflects the international community’s strong confidence in the country’s economic stability and forward-looking strategies.

The announcement came at the close of the Consultative Group meeting held in Abidjan on July 8 and 9, 2026, bringing together over 2,000 investors from 49 countries. The gathering included high-level representatives from financial institutions, investment funds, banks, business associations, public and private enterprises, and key development partners.

The two-day event concluded with commitments exceeding 80 billion US dollars, equivalent to approximately 47,820 billion F CFA—nearly four times the initial target of 11,138.2 billion F CFA.

The PND 2026-2030, with a total investment volume of 114,838.5 billion F CFA (around 209 billion US dollars) over five years, places the private sector at the heart of the transformation. The plan outlines six strategic priorities: peace, security, and stability; agriculture and agribusiness; private sector growth and industrialisation; human capital development; strategic infrastructure; and good governance alongside state modernisation.

Macroeconomic targets are equally ambitious, aiming to elevate Côte d’Ivoire to the status of an upper-middle-income economy by 2030. Key goals include achieving a GDP per capita of 4,500 US dollars and reducing poverty to below 20%.

President Ouattara emphasised the State’s role in translating financial commitments into tangible progress for all Ivorians—more schools, hospitals, roads, jobs, opportunities, and shared prosperity.

« Together, with trust, determination, and unity, we will continue building a Côte d’Ivoire that is ever more prosperous and united, » he concluded.
