The event concluded with commitments totaling 80 billion US dollars, equivalent to 47,820 billion F CFA—nearly four times the initial target of 11,138.2 billion F CFA.
The two-day gathering, held in Abidjan on July 8 and 9, 2026, brought together over 2,000 investors from 49 countries. High-level representatives included financial institutions, investment funds, banks, business organizations, public and private enterprises, and key development partners.
NDP 2026-2030: A bold vision for Côte d’Ivoire’s future
The NDP 2026-2030 aims to transform Côte d’Ivoire into a high-income, stable, and ambitious nation with a total investment volume of 114,838.5 billion F CFA (approximately 209 billion US dollars) over five years. The private sector is expected to drive 70.2% of this funding, playing a pivotal role in economic and social transformation.
The plan outlines six strategic priorities:
- Peace, security, and stability to ensure a conducive environment for growth
- Agriculture and agro-industry as key drivers of rural development
- Private sector growth and industrialization to boost competitiveness
- Human capital development through education and skills training
- Strategic infrastructure to connect regions and facilitate trade
- Good governance and state modernization to enhance efficiency and transparency
Macroeconomic targets: A pathway to prosperity
The ambitious goals set for 2030 include elevating Côte d’Ivoire to the status of a high-income economy, with a GDP per capita of $4,500 and a poverty rate below 20%. Achieving these milestones will require collective effort and sustained commitment from all sectors of society.
President Ouattara emphasized the government’s role in translating financial commitments into tangible outcomes for every Ivorian. The focus will be on delivering more schools, hospitals, roads, jobs, and shared prosperity across the nation.
« Together, with confidence, determination, and unity, we will build a Côte d’Ivoire that is ever more prosperous and inclusive, » he declared.
Private sector engagement: The backbone of transformation
Ivorian businesses are set to play a central role in implementing the NDP 2026-2030, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, industry, and infrastructure. The government’s strategy ensures that local enterprises benefit from targeted support, fostering innovation and sustainable growth.
