A ten-year-old girl was stabbed to death in the Anguissa neighbourhood of Yaoundé’s fourth district during the night of Saturday 27 to Sunday 28 June 2026.
Shock and dismay gripped the Anguissa district of Yaoundé on Sunday 28 June. Sylvana, a ten-year-old girl, was brutally stabbed to death by a 22-year-old woman. The suspect claims she acted under the influence of the Holy Spirit. The incident occurred during the night from Saturday to Sunday while the child’s parents were away.
Young Sylvana died after suffering multiple stab wounds inflicted by her attacker. The alleged murderer was arrested on 28 June 2026 at a place of worship. She is now in police custody as investigators work to shed light on the tragedy.
