The gala celebrated the vibrant cultures of West Africa in a festive and warm atmosphere.

On Saturday, June 20, 2026, the Marcel-Sembat hall resonated with the rhythms of West African music and dance during the “Vibrations africaines” gala, organized by the Faso Lili association.

Before a crowd of 170 spectators, this colorful evening showcased the richness of West African cultural heritage while supporting a meaningful solidarity project.

For years, Faso Lili has been dedicated to promoting traditional West African music and dance through classes, workshops, and performances. This annual gala provided members with the opportunity to share their hard work alongside recognized professional artists.

The show, blending live music and choreography, featured nearly 70 performers on stage, accompanied by five professional musicians and two professional dancers. The audience was treated to performances by Samba Diarra, a singer-songwriter, Ali Diarra, a member of the group Les Frères Diarra, and the choreographer and dancer Moussa Camara. The Malian professional dancer Mariam Doumbia also contributed her talent and energy to the artistic creation.

Throughout the evening, spectators were swept away by infectious rhythms, vibrant costumes, and a true celebration of West African culture. The intermission provided a moment for attendees to mingle and enjoy refreshments available on-site.

Beyond its artistic appeal, the gala served a charitable purpose. All proceeds from the evening will go toward funding the cultural center Faso Lili is developing in Burkina Faso, a project aimed at promoting cultural access, knowledge transmission, and intercultural exchanges.

Thanks to the dedication of volunteers, artists, members, and the public, the 2026 edition of “Vibrations africaines” was a resounding success, reaffirming once again that culture is a powerful force for sharing, connection, and solidarity.
