The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, kicked off on July 9, 2026, in Abidjan at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire. This pivotal event was led by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé, who emphasized the critical role of private investment in driving the nation’s economic ambitions forward.
Strengthening partnerships for Côte d’Ivoire’s economic future
Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé opened the session by highlighting the significance of this gathering. Over 700 investors from friendly nations attended, marking a strong turnout for discussions focused on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation.
« This marks a new phase in our consultative process, centered on mobilizing private capital to turn our development vision into reality, » Mambé stated. « Your presence here reflects the trust you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and its growth trajectory. You are essential partners in building a more competitive and employment-generating economy. »
The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the primary engine of economic transformation. He reassured investors of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic resilience, citing an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years. « This makes Côte d’Ivoire one of the most dynamic economies on the continent, » he added.
Key sectors targeted for investment under PND 2026-2030
Mambé outlined the strategic priorities for investment, including:
- Industrialization and local processing of raw materials to enhance value addition
- Strategic infrastructure development in transport, digital technology, and logistics to boost competitiveness
- Human capital investment, innovation, and services to foster a more productive and inclusive economy
He also noted that the first day of the event, which focused on institutional partners and the country’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire.
Investors reaffirm confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s growth plan
Leading figures from the private sector echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), alongside representatives from major business organizations in France and Morocco, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), pledged substantial financial commitments. They expressed unwavering confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s development vision and readiness to contribute to the PND 2026-2030 through concrete investments.
