Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, kicked off today at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.

The session, focused on mobilizing private investment to drive Côte d’Ivoire’s ambitious growth agenda, drew over 700 investors from partner nations. Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister emphasized the critical role of the private sector in transforming the Ivorian economy into a more competitive and job-creating powerhouse.

Strategic dialogue for economic transformation

In front of a packed audience of business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives, Robert Beugré Mambé underscored that this forum serves as a vital platform for aligning public and private visions. « Your commitment alongside Côte d’Ivoire reflects the confidence you place in our economic potential and growth trajectory, » he stated. « You are key partners in realizing our ambition to build a more resilient and dynamic economy. »

Côte d’Ivoire’s economic resilience highlighted

The Prime Minister reassured investors of Côte d’Ivoire’s robust economic performance, citing an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years despite global uncertainties. He stressed that the government is placing the private sector at the heart of its economic transformation strategy, positioning Côte d’Ivoire as one of Africa’s fastest-growing economies.

Sectoral priorities for investment

Robert Beugré Mambé outlined the key investment areas outlined in the PND 2026-2030, including:

  • Industrialization and local value addition through raw material processing to boost productivity and exports;
  • Strategic infrastructure development in transport, digital technology, and logistics to enhance competitiveness;
  • Human capital investment through innovation and essential services to foster an inclusive and productive economy.

The first day of the forum, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire itself.

Private sector vows strong commitments

Speaking on behalf of investors, Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), along with Mehdi Tazi, President of the CGEM Morocco, and Mohamed Gouled, Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s development vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND 2026-2030 implementation, signaling strong private sector backing for the country’s economic roadmap.
