The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group kicked off in Abidjan, with Côte d’Ivoire’s Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé leading the charge to secure private investment for the nation’s economic future.
Held at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire on July 9, 2026, the high-profile gathering brought together over 700 investors from allied nations, all focused on accelerating Côte d’Ivoire’s growth trajectory. « This milestone session underscores our commitment to fostering public-private partnerships that will drive sustainable economic transformation,» declared Prime Minister Mambé.
The Prime Minister emphasized the pivotal role of private sector engagement in achieving Côte d’Ivoire’s ambitious development goals. « Your presence here today reaffirms your confidence in our economic vision and growth potential,» he told the assembled investors. « Together, we can build a more competitive, job-rich economy that delivers tangible benefits to all Ivorians.»
With Côte d’Ivoire boasting an average economic growth rate of 6.5% over recent years, the Prime Minister highlighted the nation’s resilience and adaptability as key strengths that continue to attract global investors. « This is not just an opportunity—it’s a gateway to one of Africa’s most dynamic markets,» he asserted.
The PND 2026-2030 prioritizes several strategic sectors, including:
- Industrialization and local processing of raw materials to maximize value addition;
- Large-scale infrastructure projects in transport, digital technology, and logistics to boost competitiveness;
- Human capital development, innovation, and essential services to create a more inclusive and productive economy.
Prime Minister Mambé also pointed to the success of the first day of the Consultative Group, which drew over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire, underscoring the global appeal of the country’s development strategy.
Representing the business community, leaders from the Confédération générale des Entreprises de Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), the Mouvement des Entreprises de France (MEDEF), the Confédération générale des Entreprises du Maroc (CGEM), and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) voiced their unwavering support for Côte d’Ivoire’s development agenda. « We are fully committed to contributing substantial financial investments to ensure the successful implementation of the PND 2026-2030,» they affirmed.
