The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group kicked off in Abidjan on July 9, 2026, at the Sofitel Ivoire Hotel, under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé. The gathering brought together over 700 investors from friendly nations to catalyze private sector engagement in the nation’s economic growth.

Prime Minister Mambé underscored the pivotal role of private investment in realizing the country’s ambitious development goals. Addressing a room packed with business leaders and investors, he highlighted the significance of this platform as a bridge between government vision and private sector action.

« Today marks another milestone in our collective journey, » Mambé stated. « This consultative session is all about harnessing private capital to fuel our development ambitions. We are delighted to welcome more than 700 investors who have traveled from afar to be part of this historic initiative. »

The Prime Minister emphasized that the Côte d’Ivoire’s economic resilience—demonstrated by an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years—positions it as one of Africa’s most vibrant markets. « The government is committed to positioning the private sector as the engine of this transformation, » he added.

Mambé outlined key sectors poised for investment under the PND 2026-2030, including:

  • Industrialization and local processing of raw materials to enhance value addition.
  • Strategic infrastructure development, particularly in transport, digital technology, and logistics.
  • Human capital investment, innovation, and essential services to foster a more productive and inclusive economy.

He also referenced the first day of the consultative group, which attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire, to discuss institutional partnerships and development strategies.

In a show of solidarity, leaders from major business organizations took the floor to reaffirm their commitment. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the Moroccan Employers’ Federation (CGEM), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), all pledged substantial financial contributions to support the PND’s implementation.

« The confidence you place in our vision is a testament to Côte d’Ivoire’s potential, » Mambé concluded. « Your investments will not only drive economic growth but also create jobs and foster shared prosperity. »
