“Our objective is May 30th”: with these words, Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique sets the tone ahead of Wednesday’s match against RC Lens. With a commanding six-point lead and a goal difference of +15, the outcome of the Ligue 1 championship is practically decided — even if the Parisians were to lose in Lens. Yet for Enrique, this fixture is far from a formality.

For the PSG manager, the real challenge lies in preparing his squad for the Champions League final against Arsenal on May 30. “The most important thing for me is to manage and analyze each player’s workload individually to arrive at the Champions League final in the best possible physical, mental, individual, and collective condition,” Enrique explained after Sunday’s 1-0 win over Brest.

With just two matches remaining in Ligue 1, the Catalan coach is already looking ahead. “I am confident we will be competitive in Lens and against Paris FC, but our goal is the May 30th match,” he stated during a press conference.
