Chad’s interim president, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, arrived back in N’Djamena late Wednesday evening, wrapping up a diplomatic mission to the United Arab Emirates. During his visit, he held two key meetings with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan—one at the Presidential Palace and another at his own residence.

Upon landing, Déby was greeted at the airport by a high-powered delegation, including Prime Minister Amb. Allah-Maye Halina, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, several cabinet ministers, the Secretary-General of the Presidency, the Personal Chief of Staff, the Deputy Civil Cabinet Director, the Deputy Private Secretary, and the Mayor of N’Djamena.
