The Malian authorities have placed a bounty on the head of a jihadist commander known as Jouleybib de Nampala, whose real name is Abdoulaye Mamoudou Bakaye Diallo. A wanted notice released by the government in Bamako identifies him as a key figure in the armed groups operating in the Sahel region. Diallo is believed to be linked to the Support Group for Islam and Muslims (Jnim), an alliance of jihadist factions active in Mali and across the Sahel.
