Fresh off their recent Champions League triumph, Paris Saint-Germain is already making significant moves in the transfer market, aiming to bolster their squad for the upcoming season. The club’s first major acquisition of the summer could originate from Russia, with the transfer of Aleksey Batrakov for approximately €25M reportedly progressing exceptionally well.

Following their victory in the Champions League final against Arsenal, PSG is already looking ahead to the next campaign. A primary objective for the transfer window is to inject fresh talent into the squad without completely overhauling the existing roster. Aligning with this strategy, the Parisian project continues its focus on acquiring promising young talents. In this context, Aleksey Batrakov appears on the cusp of finalizing his move to PSG. A prominent agent with deep knowledge of the Russian football scene, Dmitry Cheltsov, has indicated a 95% probability that the offensive midfielder from Lokomotiv Moscou will indeed join the French capital club.

batrakov nearing psg deal?

“Batrakov’s move to Paris is practically assured, with a 95% certainty. Discussions between the leadership of PSG and Lokomotiv have already involved numerous phone calls. This past week saw Luis Campos travel to Moscow in an effort to finalize the transfer. Only an extraordinary circumstance could derail this deal now. The transfer fee is set at €25 million, with an expected salary of around €5 to €6 million. The transfer is anticipated to be completed within the next two weeks,” the agent revealed.

“batrakov is practically certain to join psg”

Andrey Nagibin, a youth coach at Lokomotiv Moscou who previously mentored Aleksey Batrakov, has confirmed ongoing negotiations with PSG. “To my understanding, talks with PSG are indeed active. He undeniably possesses the qualities required to compete at the highest level. However, many adjustments will be necessary. The French league’s standard is superior to that of Russia,” Nagibin stated. “I believe numerous elements must align for Batrakov to contend for a starting position. Yet, we have the example of Safonov: he arrived as a backup goalkeeper, seized his opportunity, and became a starter. I recently met with Alexey, and we discussed this; he is eager to test himself at PSG. I extended my best wishes and hope everything goes smoothly for him.”
