The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, hosted his Béninois counterpart, Romuald Wadagni, in Ouagadougou for an official visit centered on revitalizing bilateral relations. Key discussions focused on enhancing security cooperation and expanding economic partnerships, particularly in combating terrorism and developing critical infrastructure.

Both leaders emphasized the strategic significance of the Port of Cotonou for Burkina Faso’s trade connectivity and committed to expediting the 5th session of the Mixed High Commission for Cooperation to formalize these agreements.

The visit concluded with an official invitation from the Béninois President to his Burkinabè counterpart, signaling a new chapter in regional collaboration.
