Pierre Emmanuel Binyam argued on the programme “Entretien avec…” that Maurice Kamto is not the only individual capable of running the Mouvement pour la renaissance du Cameroun (MRC). However, given the party’s current circumstances, Binyam stressed that Kamto remains the right person to lead.

“Maurice Kamto is not the only one who can manage the MRC, but in the present situation, we need Maurice Kamto,” Binyam stated during the STV broadcast.

The interview also gave Binyam an opportunity to address talk of internal discord regarding Kamto’s return to the party’s helm. “Regarding contestation over Maurice Kamto’s return, I told you clearly that it does not exist. No body within the party has opened any debate about Kamto’s return. On the contrary, motions have been signed urgently calling for his comeback,” he insisted.
