Jordan expresses unwavering solidarity with Morocco after thwarted terrorist plots

Amman has strongly condemned a series of terrorist plots recently thwarted across Morocco, reaffirming complete support for Rabat in safeguarding national security and public stability.
In an official statement released by the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, authorities in Jordan described the disrupted schemes as deliberate attempts to destabilize Morocco, targeting both vital infrastructure and civilian safety.
Ambassador Fouad Majali, spokesperson for the ministry, emphasized that Jordan stands firmly beside Morocco in all efforts to protect its citizens and uphold its sovereignty. He underlined the kingdom’s commitment to supporting Morocco’s security measures without reservation.
The government’s response follows a high-level alert from Morocco’s Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations, which reported that advanced-stage terrorist operations had been neutralized through coordinated action.
Security forces, acting on intelligence provided by the General Directorate for National Security, conducted synchronized raids in multiple Moroccan cities, leading to the arrest of individuals with extremist affiliations.
Preliminary investigations suggest these suspects had logistical ties and received operational support from elements linked to the Islamic State in the Sahel region.
