For two full days, the PASTEF-Les Patriotes party embarked on an intensive political tour across the Jolof region, covering all 19 communes of the Linguère department. From Dahra to Barkédji, with stops in Sagatta and Yang-Yang, the delegation was led by party leader Ousmane Sonko, accompanied by State Minister Habib Sy and key national figures alongside coalition allies.
This deep dive into the heart of Jolof was more than just a show of strength—it was a deliberate effort to strengthen local ties. The agenda included courtesy visits and meaningful exchanges with religious and traditional leaders, alongside strategic working sessions with grassroots party structures, including youth, women, and party cadres.

As the final phase of this mobilization, local party officials unveiled their roadmap for the coming period. The highlight of the trip was the official inauguration of the PASTEF departmental office, signaling the launch of a membership drive aimed at deepening the party’s presence in every village and neighborhood across the department.
Uniting for local development
Following this internal restructuring, political leaders issued a formal call for unity. This appeal extends beyond long-time supporters and sympathizers to include political figures from other parties interested in joining the territorial development project championed by the party.
