Paris Saint-Germain are looking to refresh Luis Enrique’s squad after winning a second consecutive Champions League title. The club has been active in the transfer market and reportedly showed interest in Julian Alvarez. However, the Parisian side has now cooled on the Atlético de Madrid striker, who is currently representing Argentina at the 2026 World Cup.

PSG made an attempt for Julian Alvarez
Two clubs tested the waters for Alvarez amid a standoff between Atlético and Barcelona over his future. PSG, already in contact with Atlético regarding Kang-In Lee and Gonçalo Ramos, attempted to enter negotiations. But Alvarez made it clear he wanted to move to Barcelona.
PSG has lost interest
Arsenal also made an inquiry, receiving the same response. Now PSG’s interest has waned significantly. The trail for Julian Alvarez at PSG has gone cold. It remains to be seen if the club will revisit the situation in the coming weeks.
