The government of Bénin has conveyed its unwavering solidarity to the people of Niger following the violent incidents that rocked the vicinity of Niamey’s Diori-Hamani International Airport on June 18, 2026.
In an official statement released from Cotonou, Bénin’s leadership expressed deep concern over the attack and condemned the assault on a key civilian infrastructure.
“The aggression against Niamey’s airport is a direct threat to regional stability and the safety of innocent civilians,” the statement read, underscoring Bénin’s firm stance against such acts of violence.
