chadian supreme court schedules hearing for succès masra appeal

Affaire Succès Masra : la Cour suprême du Tchad inscrit le dossier à son audience du 21 mai 2026

A significant judicial development has emerged in the ongoing case concerning Succès Masra. The Judicial Chamber of the Chadian Supreme Court has released its official hearing schedule, indicating that the matter will be thoroughly examined during the ordinary public session of its 2nd Penal Section.

This crucial hearing is set to convene on Thursday, May 21, 2026, commencing at 9 AM. According to the formal document, which was officially endorsed in N’Djamena on May 19, 2026, by M. Samir Adam Annour, the President of the section, the case is identified as number 092/25.

The legal proceedings involve Succès Masra and the Mandakao defendants on one side, represented by a collective of defense attorneys, notably led by Me Kadjilem-baye Francis. Opposing them are the Public Ministry and the Chadian State, with the latter’s interests upheld by the State Judicial Agency (AJE). The focal point of this upcoming session is an appeal in cassation challenging criminal judgment number 018/25, which was previously rendered by the N’Djamena Court of Appeal on August 9, 2025. Magistrate Amadou Oumarou has been designated as the rapporteur for this important dossier.
