Libya’s Deputy Army Chief, General Saddam Haftar, arrived in Chad on an official visit and was received at the presidential palace in N’Djamena by President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno.

The meeting centered on shared regional concerns and explored pathways to deepen bilateral cooperation across critical sectors, reinforcing the strategic interests of both nations.

General Haftar emphasized the enduring and fraternal bonds between Libya and Chad, reaffirming the Libyan Armed Forces’ commitment to enhancing military and security collaboration to address common challenges and bolster regional stability.

President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno conveyed strong appreciation for Libyan Commander-in-Chief Khalifa Abou al-Qasim Haftar and acknowledged the pivotal role of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces in maintaining security and stability within Libya, a contribution with direct positive implications for regional peace.
