The Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) have disclosed that they neutralized around one hundred armed combatants during coordinated military operations in the northern regions of Anfif and Tabrachat. These missions, conducted Tuesday, were executed in partnership with allied forces and targeted fighters from the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) and the Azawad Liberation Front (FLA).
According to the army’s statement, the operations included 13 precision airstrikes that resulted in the destruction of six armored vehicles and one pickup truck belonging to the militants. The military emphasized that its forces remain committed to continuing the campaign with strict discipline and resolve, reinforcing coordination with international partners to dismantle armed groups across the country.
The Africa Corps also shared details on X, reporting that its strikes had set ablaze a significant number of militant vehicles. Additionally, one of its drones successfully targeted a vehicle transporting ammunition and military equipment, further disrupting the rebels’ logistical capabilities.
The Africa Corps reiterated the success of the joint operations with the Malian army, describing the missions as highly effective. It confirmed that further strikes would be carried out to degrade the militants’ positions and eliminate their resources, ensuring sustained pressure on armed factions operating in the region.
