Tchad : réparation urgente du site exécutoire de Hilton à N'Djamena

N’Djamena’s Mayor, Sanoussi Hassana Abdoulaye, led a significant delegation on Thursday, May 28, 2026, to inspect the damaged Hilton executive site. This critical visit underscores efforts to bolster the city’s flood prevention strategies in Chad.

During the inspection, Gadengar Roasna Rodrigue, the Central Municipal Urban Planning Director, emphasized the Hilton executive site’s pivotal role for N’Djamena. He explained its dual function: directing rainwater into the Chari River while also preventing river waters from inundating the city during periods of high flow.

Rodrigue clarified that the structure has sustained minor damage, specifically noting the deterioration of the protective flap designed to guard against riverine floods. Despite this, he confirmed that several preparatory measures are already underway in anticipation of Chad’s upcoming rainy season.

While on-site, Mayor Sanoussi Hassana Abdoulaye issued stringent directives to the road department. He mandated immediate action to ensure the protective flap’s repair within the coming days, highlighting the urgency of the task for N’Djamena’s safety.
