On Sunday afternoon, May 24, 2026, the youth of Baga-Sola demonstrated remarkable solidarity by rallying behind the country’s Defence and Security Forces (FDS), who are leading the battle against the Boko Haram insurgency in the Lake Chad region.

At a gathering attended by local leaders, Mahamat Adam Moustapha, coordinator of the Coordination of Youth Associations of the Lac Region (CADELAC), conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families affected by the recent violent attacks in Barka Tollorom. He praised the FDS for their unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and security, emphasizing the critical role they play in protecting communities from extremist threats.

The youth representatives did not stop at words. In a modest yet powerful gesture of support, CADELAC delivered five 50-kilogram bags of rice and ten cartons of pasta to the FDS. This donation, explained Mahamat Adam Moustapha, reflects the resilience and determination of the younger generation to stand firmly beside those safeguarding the Lac Province from insecurity and terror.
