Minister of Security, Mahamadou Sana, personally witnessed the immediate success of the new e-verbalisation system for road violations, merely twelve hours following its official launch. This innovative digital framework, designed for the automatic detection of traffic code infringements, became operational precisely at midnight on August 1, 2026. By midday, Minister Sana was present at the video protection supervision center, meticulously observing the real-time processing alongside Zakaria Hebie, the Director General of Transmissions and Information Technology.

Commending the technical teams for their exemplary professionalism and pivotal role in deploying this advanced solution, the minister highlighted the impressive initial figures. Within just half a day, the system had logged a staggering 1,099 infractions. These included common violations such as failing to wear a seatbelt, disregarding traffic lights, exceeding speed limits, and using mobile phones while driving. Notably, five individuals had already settled their penalties through the dedicated FASO ARZEKA platform.

Mahamadou Sana underscored that these swift and conclusive results unequivocally demonstrate the system’s full operational capability and the government’s unwavering dedication to leveraging digital technologies for enhanced road safety across the nation. The Ministry further stressed that strict adherence to the Highway Code remains the most effective strategy for motorists to avoid penalties.
