Nigerian energy boost: Algerian Prime Minister inaugurates ‘Solidarité’ power plant in Niamey

The Algerian Prime Minister, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb, arrived in Niamey, the capital of the Republic of Niger, on Wednesday to preside over the official inauguration of the new ‘Solidarité’ power plant.

This visit marks a significant milestone in the ongoing cooperation between Algeria and Niger, as part of the official tour commissioned by Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

Accompanied by the Algerian Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Mr. Mourad Adjal, and the Director-General of the Algerian Agency for International Cooperation for Solidarity and Development, Mr. Abed Halouz, Prime Minister Ghrieb conducted an inspection tour of the facility before its formal launch.

The inauguration of the ‘Solidarité’ power plant represents a strategic step forward in enhancing energy infrastructure in Niger, reinforcing regional stability and fostering economic ties between the two nations.
