Niger’s ohada law excellence competition 2026 opens applications in Niamey

Official Announcement from the OHADA Club of Abdou Moumouni University in Niamey

The OHADA Club UAM/FSJP, in close partnership with the International Committee of the OHADA Genius in Training Competition (CIGHO), proudly announces the launch of the National OHADA Law Excellence Competition for 2026 in Niamey, Niger.

This prestigious selection process invites participation from all students enrolled in Licence 3 and Master programs across both public and private universities. Additionally, students from accounting schools are encouraged to apply, underscoring the broad applicability of OHADA law within the West Africa region.

Prospective candidates have until June 15, 2026, to submit their applications. Registrations are accepted exclusively for teams composed of three (3) individuals, with the mandatory inclusion of at least one female participant, promoting diversity in this pan-African legal challenge.

Eligible Participants

• Law students (Licence 3 and Master levels)
• Economics students (Licence 3 and Master levels)
• Students from the Justice Section of the National School of Administration (Licence 3 and Master levels)

Competition Rounds

1. Written Assessments:

• Multiple-choice questions (MCQ) designed to test comprehensive knowledge of OHADA law.
• Questions on African integration, highlighting the broader context of regional legal frameworks.
• The intriguing “Who Am I?” challenge.
• Relay questions, testing quick recall and collaborative thinking.

2. Oral Assessment:

• An advocacy exercise (Plaidoirie), where participants will demonstrate their legal argumentation and presentation skills.
